2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Emmanuel Pregnon, IOL, Oregon
Breaking down the strengths, weak points, usage, and projected role of IOL Emmanuel Pregnon. Plus: grades and schematic fit
Updated: 04/11/2026
Note: This season, I’m posting full scouting reports of a ton of players — as well as written columns on some of the top or most intriguing prospects. This is the format I file to scouting services, and that mirrors the “one sheets” you see in NFL front offices — with some explanations about position critical traits for readers. The written-through columns will have deeper explanations on some of the scouting terms and, more importantly, why they matter. Those will come throughout the draft cycle. But I’ve had requests for these quick reports, and so here they are! I’ve updated my process this season, based on the Chargers model that stems from Michigan and is now used in Baltimore and Seattle. If you want to understand more about the changes and any verbiage, I broke the process down on the first scouting evaluations podcast with Jon Ledyard.

Prospect: Emmanuel Pregnon | Jersey #: 75 | Pro Pos.: IOL | College Pos.: IOL
School: Oregon | Height: 6-4 | Weight: 314lbs | Speed: 5.21; 1.82 | Explosive Index: 9.42
Age: 24 | Final Grade: 6.90 (Solid Starter) | Draft Projection: Top-50
STRONG POINTS:
· Pregnon is a big, lumbering mauler. A brick house built to reset the point-of-attack in the run-game on man-oriented run concepts. Has the mass and strength to single-handedly reset the line of scrimmage when he leads with his hands and plays with good pad level.
· Size and a wide base allow him to absorb power. Bull-rushers cannot push him off his spot, even when his pad level runs high or his hands run wide. Routinely plays high but roots his cleats into the ground and works throughout the rep.
· Plus grip-strength. Doesn’t have fast, sudden hands, but there is a pop on impact. He has the grip strength to bully linemen at the point of attack. Uproots his target and can drop the first level onto the toes of linebackers. Good leg drive throughout the rep. Will establish position, let his grip take over, and then drive defenders out of their gap.
