Backfield to Box Office: Why Thomas Jones is taking a run at Hollywood
"We weren’t made to play football. Our bodies weren’t made for this sport."
Editor’s Note: Unfortunately, after covering the Packers-Giants game in London this past weekend, I’ve come down with some pretty severe COVID symptoms. I have had to push a planned column for today to tomorrow and a podcast with Steven Ruiz of the Ringer to next week — editors can save my COVID brain in writing, but not on the podcast. There will still be two pieces this week, only later in the week. But there will unfortunately not be a podcast.
In its place, I’m bringing forward a piece from Melissa planned for ‘Running Back Week.’ Melissa sat down with running-back-turned-actor Thomas Jones to discuss his career in the league, why he chose to move into acting, codes within an NFL locker room, and much more.
I hope you understand.
Thanks,
Ollie
