It is the most wonderful time of the year. Snow is falling. Frost is biting. Playoff football is in the air. And Lou Anarumo and the Bengals’ defense are rounding into form after a midseason lull.
I would like it noted for the record that it takes every fiber of my being not to write about my guy Sweet Lou on the pages of this publication each week. So forgive me this brief indulgence – it is the holidays after all.
Anarumo has been cooking all season. Last week, he really loosened up his fastball. Tom Brady and co. caught the Bengals flat-footed in the first-half. More motion, movement and play-action (who’d have thunk it?) caught the Cincy defense by surprise and the Bucs offense was able to move the ball down the field fairly comfortably. Over time, Anarumo adjusted.
