Buying and Selling Week One Overreactions

A programming note: The plan with this newsletter is to deliver three pieces of content a week. That will (usually) be one early in the week, one mid-week, and one later in the week. It could be three columns; two columns and a podcast; or three columns with a bonus podcast. My plan, so far at least – and this depends on your feedback – is to offer some league-wide tidbits and analysis in the early week piece, followed by a deep-dive in the middle of the week, and an unloading of my notes from a week’s worth of tape-watching on Friday. The mid-week deep dive of one player/team/concept/topic and the Friday tape-watching nuggets will be consistent staples. The early week piece will be more amorphous, taking whatever shape best serves the audience for that given week. It might be buying or selling national storylines. It might be a closer look at one or two teams or players or schematic trends. It made be a stand-alone column on a bigger picture issue. It will shift as the league shifts.…
